Buyer's Blog Update 8/1/2021

Location, Location, Location

Location of a property has a major impact on the sales price of a home.  The exact same house or condo would be worth different prices depending on where it is located because the location of a home has an impact on many aspects of your life.  Consider the following when choosing potential neighborhoods or locations:

  • Budget:  You can look to see if property in your price range is available once you have been pre-approved for a mortgage and know how much you can afford.
  • Commute Time and Options.
  • Schools.
  • Neighborhood Amenities.
  • Proximity to Parks and Facilities.
  • Proximity to Shopping, Dining, and Entertainment.

Your budget is the criteria that matters most.  There is no point looking at homes in a neighborhood you can’t afford.  You can decide the order of importance for the remaining criteria, and you may be willing to sacrifice in one category to enjoy the benefits in another category.
