George and Mary Lou started their company in 1978. George is a 1955 graduate of the United States Naval Academy and had command of two nuclear powered submarines prior to retiring in 1975. Mary Lou has an undergraduate degree in Education and taught school in six different states. She also holds an MSW degree and was a clinical social worker in Hawaii for a number of years. George and Mary Lou have been married since 1956. They have three married children, seven grandchildren, two Labrador retrievers and a number of birds.
Mike and Tracey both began working part-time for their parents company as soon as they were old enough to be licensed. After college, they both became full-time sales agents. Mike shifted into management and became the broker-in-charge of a branch office and later, the Company's Property Manager. Mike was also a national sales trainer for several years where he met Donna. At the time, Donna was the broker-in-charge of a 50-agent real estate office in Orlando. Mike and Donna have five children, two dogs and two cats.
After several years as an agent, Tracey got married and moved to Austin with her husband, Tim. In Austin, Tracey became involved in real estate again and soon was one of the top agents in the area. Tim eventually left the corporate world and joined Tracey in real estate. The two of them were considering establishing their own real estate company in the Austin area and decided instead to move back to Hawaii and join The Stott Team. Tim and Tracey have two children, three dogs and a rabbit.
All six family members on The Stott Team work together to provide you the information you need to make good real estate decisions. George, Donna and Tim tend to stay behind the scenes managing various aspects of the company while Mary Lou, Mike and Tracey tend to work out in the field with buyers and sellers. A team consisting of six family members working together is very unusual in real estate and has earned some national recognition. Various assistants provide support including Escrow and Listing Managers, a Property Manager, two Assistant Property Managers, several research specialists and three agents that work exclusively with buyers.
